Gambling should stay optional entertainment. Use this checklist before and during play. It is general information, not counselling.
Before you sign up
- Confirm you are 18+
- Decide a monthly loss limit in ZAR you can afford
- Decide a time budget so play does not crowd out sleep, work or family

While you play
- Do not chase losses
- Do not borrow money to gamble
- Take breaks; avoid play when upset, drunk or exhausted
- Keep other hobbies funded first
Warning signs
- Hiding play from people close to you
- Missing bills to fund deposits
- Feeling restless or irritable when not playing
- Returning immediately after a big loss to “get even”
